We never do tours but the idea of a small group being led by an actual geologist caught our attention, and I honestly cannot praise this experience enough! Don’t get me wrong, seeing an active volcano is amazing but having a volcanologist guiding you through what you are seeing is next level! Jasmine is so informative & knowledgable. She spent time individually with each member of our group to answer our questions, giving a truly personal experience. Without her expertise we would’ve missed out on so much. We came away with a new found fascination for volcanos.

Amazing tour! As much as the view of the lava field and the crater was incredible, the info that you get on this tour is amazing. Jasmine our geologist guide, was so informational. Also, she is super fun to hike with. She was also super gracious to drive through some beautiful landscapes on our way back to Reykjavik. Thank you Jasmine for such a nice experience! Our group was only 4 people + Jasmine.

Two days after our arrival in Iceland, the eruption started. We had booked the tour few months back, so we were very lucky that the eruption occurred at Fagradalsfjall. The tour was very interesting thanks to Yasmin who made some stops to share lots of information on volcanoes. I definitely recommend her organized tour.
