Originally built in 1891, the ‘Gamla Laugin’ is Iceland’s first swimming pool. Spend time in this relaxing setting feeling your worries slip away. A natural hot spring feeds the lagoon with 38-39°C water that bubbles up from deep within the earth at a rate of 10 litres per second, constantly replenishing itself so that there is a steady supply of fresh clean water in the pool at any given time, letting you rest as long as you need. Enjoy brand new facilities at the Secret Lagoon including changing rooms, showers, resting rooms, bar and restaurant area. Situated in a remote location in Fluðir, the Secret Lagoon is just an hour away from Geysir, 1 hour and 20 minutes from Reykjavik and 2 hours from Vik making it a great desination on your trip to Iceland.
The Secret Lagoon is delightful resting 'activity' to add to your adventure travels in Iceland. We had been horse-back riding and hiking a whole lot and felt a bit tired and sore. Floating in the lagoon was just the perfect cure for that! It seemed like a much less formal and sophisticated version of the Blue lagoon, which we also visited, and I liked it all the more for that. Definitely worth visiting!

We highly recommend this event, what a fantastic choice for our adventures.father and son buisness that made us feel very welcome, really friendly and very informative. The yacht was perfect, a highly luxurious seating area inside, and a seating area at the top on the top deck. They took you out to the best spot to get further away from light pollution and once we stopped, about 10 minutes after finding our spot, the northern light appeared and continued to get better throughout our sightings for us! Absolutely fantastic! Would highly recommend!
The stage is set to experience one of nature’s most magnificent phenomenon on this tour of the Northern Lights in Iceland, starting with an informative talk before boarding the Elding II in Reykjavik Harbor. Docked just a few steps from the meeting point, where you can watch time lapse videos and look at images and information boards about the lights, Elding II boasts a nice heated lounge where you can sit down to enjoy light refreshments, or head out to the viewing platform wrapped up in the provided warm overalls. Settle down for Mother Nature to start her tricks as your guide keeps you well informed and calls out once the Northern Lights begin. Of course, nothing in nature is guaranteed, but the expert guide and captain will always check the weather and forecast before the tour to optimize your chances of a view. With the glow of the city in the background, set out in search of the...
Worthwhile for a estimated 2/10, but turned out to be a 4/10 so better than anticipated.
