Seeing the lake, hot springs, and then the lava fields was impressive. Due to cloud coverage we were unable to hike the volcano to see the crater. And so we walked along the lava fields - which was incredibly impressive. The guide was informative though a little more loquacious than I’d prefer (lol). But a very nice man and he really knew his stuff! I do believe I paid more than the others. I noticed the day before that the price had gone from $80ish to $65ish….not sure why that was. I’d meant to look into that but it slipped my mind. Overall, it was a truly unique and unforgettable day and I’m so glad I did it! I keep kicking myself for forgetting to take a piece of the lava as a keepsake!

Our family's GetYourGuide experience was nothing less than spectacular. Our scheduled half-day tour was cancelled at the last minute and they offered us a full-day tour at no extra charge. The whole trip was well worth while and I would highly recommend it to anyone, except those with young children who might be unable to handle a 2-hour hike up a volcano. The single most noteworthy part of the tour, however, was the guide, Thomas, who was entertaining, knowledgable, and clearly interested in giving the participants the very best experience. He did a wonderful job, the company did a wonderful job and I would deal with GetYourGuide again in a heartbeat.

Our guide, Peter, was informative, fun, and helpful! We had a wonderful and educational time walking on the lava field, hiking, and seeing thermal waters.

Great experience. Our drivers/guides Thomas and Alexander were great! I recommend this tour.

The guide was really nice, the places wonderful, I liked the tour.
