Geo-political tour of Ramallah

3. Geo-political tour of Ramallah

Ramallah is the cultural, commercial and governmental hub of the Palestinian Territories, alive with liberalism and intellectualism. It is a loud, vibrant city from its historic market to its chaotic bus station and its hip downtown to its towering, glamorous hotels. Almost operating within its own bubble, Ramallah is an eclectic hub of activity and continues to evolve with each day. Many of its residents are refugee families from Jerusalem and elsewhere in Palestine, who were forced to seek new lives in Ramallah and in doing so made it the Palestinian Authority's de facto capital. Come with a local guide like me in order to discover Ramallah city's modern and vibrant life, and around the refugee camps, as well the paradoxical reality of walls, fences, checkpoints and Jewish settlements. Join me on this unique journey! 8. 00 am - arrive to Ramallah 9. 00 am - stop at Qalandia Checkpoint, and pass through Qalandia Refugee camp. 9:30 am tour Amari Refugee camp 10:30 am arrive to Manara square, walk around in the main street and market 11:30 am visit Mukataa and Yasser Arafat's tomb 12:00 pm visit Bet El Checkpoint, and Bet El Settlement, stop briefly at Jalazon Refugee camp 1:00 pm - Lunch (where: TBD) 2:00 pm visit the wall in Bir Nabala and tunnels 3:00 pm back to Ramallah - stop at Mandela statue, Coffee at Zamn cafe 4:00 end of your back to your hotel.

Great guide and experience! Very detailed description and historical detail. We visited Ramallah and then Jericho. Highlight was Bethlehem and the Church of the Nativity! We were able to get into the cave in less than 15 minutes. The lunch spot was also very well chosen with good meat and side options. Highly recommend this tour!

This tour was easily one of my highlights during my travels in Israel! It was incredibly interesting and well organized. Our guide, Ashraf, did a phenomenal job!!

Guided tours saves a lot of holiday time, don't need to worry about safety, transport, etc. You can know a lot interesting information from local guides :)

It's one of the best tours we booked so far. You'll get a different glimpse/view of the culture and history behind this area.

Covered a lot of places in a day, while also provided examples the people of the west bank face in their daily lives.
