Brisbane: Story Bridge Adventure Climb

1. Brisbane: Story Bridge Adventure Climb

The Story Bridge Climb provides the best 360-degree panoramic view of Brisbane city from the heart and soul of Brisbane’s most iconic landmark – the Story Bridge. Your adventure begins at base camp, directly under the Story Bridge itself. After a quick pre-climb brief, you’ll depart the base and ascend a spiral staircase that leads to the start of the suspended walkway directly beneath the Bradfield Highway (Brisbane's shortest highway). You’ll start your journey along the suspended walkway to the base of the southern pylon, learning about the colorful history of the Story Bridge and Brisbane as you go. From here - it’s climb time! Start to venture up through the inner Eastern bridge arm, climbing level with one of Brisbane’s busiest commute points, and then ascending straight up the south-eastern cantilever arm that stretches over the Brisbane River and reaches up into the sky. Before you know it you’re celebrating with your climb group on the summit platform, where you’ll get your bearings and hear some fun facts about the amazing 360 panoramic view before you. See Brisbane and its surroundings, including the Glass House Mountains, Moreton Bay, and the Scenic Rim. Venturing further along you’ll explore the bridge from a different angle, traveling approximately halfway across the river below before returning to the top platform for a final climb group photo before your descent back to base camp. Every climb to the top includes a group photograph, with additional individual photographs available for purchase afterwards - once your adrenaline has calmed down! See the glittering nighttime lights of Brisbane below - a unique vantage point for such a view with twilight option.

Cairns: Cairns ZOOM and Wildlife Dome

2. Cairns: Cairns ZOOM and Wildlife Dome

Cairns ZOOM & Wildlife Dome, the world’s first Challenge Ropes Course in a wildlife exhibit, is an all-weather experience in the Cairns CBD. Experience adventure on the Mid-ZOOM or Hi-ZOOM courses, consisting of 65 elements including crossings, tunnels, a climbing wall, cargo nets, and three ziplines at various heights and lengths, including one directly over Goliath, a 4.5-meter saltwater crocodile, or try the new Pirate Climb and Commando Climb challenges. Get your heart racing with the PowerJump – a free-fall adventure with a 13 meter drop – or try the new Pirate Climb and Commando Climb challenges. Internal elevated walkways offer you a unique birds-eye view of the layout of the Dome, then step outside the glass walls (and your comfort zone) to try the external DomeClimb. Offering spectacular views of the city, the Coral Sea, and the surrounding landscapes, it’s an experience not to be missed. Enjoy a leisurely walk through the wildlife exhibit including our small bird aviary and reptile enclosures as tropical birds fly above your head through the Dome. Wildlife presentations, including crocodiles, snakes, birds, koalas and other mammals, are held regularly throughout the day and offer an educational insight into some of Australia’s most well-known animals.

Brisbane: Abseiling at Kangaroo Point Cliffs

3. Brisbane: Abseiling at Kangaroo Point Cliffs

Step off the edge of the Kangaroo Point Cliffs into a vertical world. As you wait in anticipation to hear your name being called for abseiling Kangaroo Point Cliffs, stand back and enjoy the uninterrupted views of Brisbane and watch the City Cat ferries, boats, and kayakers skim across the meandering river. You are in control as you descend down the cliffs, going as slow or as fast as you like using the rope at your side. Each session includes full instruction, a safety briefing, and equipment. Your friendly instructor will also be at the top of the cliffs holding a safety line to guide and encourage you the whole way down.

Brisbane: Outdoor Rock Climbing Session

4. Brisbane: Outdoor Rock Climbing Session

Challenge yourself to climb the weathered walls of Kangaroo Point Cliffs and experience the thrill of outdoor rock climbing. Meet your friendly guides and get kitted out with all the necessary equipment whilst watching a safety briefing. Once you’re feeling confident it's time to scale the rocks and put yourself to the test physically and mentally. As you ascend to the top of Kangaroo Point Cliffs, admire spectacular views overlooking Brisbane River and the CBD. This session operates every Saturday and Sunday morning at 8:30am, and is perfect for families, friends, and groups looking for an early morning energizer. The experience has been designed to showcase the very best of outdoor rock climbing, which is worlds away from the scenes of indoor climbing centers.

‘Dries’ was the perfect Guide, taking all the time we needed to take a breath, and/or take in the fabulous views. Interesting ‘Storey Time’ facts. It’s hard work if you’re not as fit as you should be (!) and it would be worse if you’re carrying too much weight. I’ll be 70 later this year, have 2 knee replacements and a wonky back, but I made it without any problems and I’m so happy I did…..good value too. Just do it!

We did the twilight walk in Summer and fortunately it was not too hot. We really enjoyed the walk and the commentary by the guide. It was not nearly as difficult as we thought it might be.

Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would certainly recommend it. The twilight walk was amazing

I really liked the zoom parcours, the free jump and the 360 degree walk outside.

Great experience the best tour guide, really made the experience
