The excursion was well organized, our guide was very friendly and attentive. Once taken care of (when we got used to the idea that the pick-up time is quite random) everything goes without problems. The stops planned to operate local businesses are part of the business, normal when you know that there are 7 million tourists a year for a Dominican population of 11 to 12 million inhabitants. Sellers do not push for consumption: a single "no" is enough. Dominicans are a friendly and outgoing people. The whales show themselves or not ‍♀️ At the end of the season, we were able to see one or two, and saw a jump in the distance. The horseback excursion was fantastic, the horses very talented and the guides chosen perfectly. The meal was normal.

We didn't like the mass processing. In the times of Corona, we were on a speedboat with almost 100 people. We saw a whale family, but unfortunately those sitting in the middle of the boat couldn't see much because everyone sitting on the edge jumped up. That was a pity. Then we went on to Barcadi Island. There you had 1 hour stop for swimming. That was nice. Then it was on to lunch. Some rice with chicken and finally a small bottle of water! Finally came the El Limon waterfall. In the tour description there was nothing about a horse ride. We didn't think the horses were in good shape either, so we preferred to run. However, since the path is extremely muddy and you have to constantly avoid the horses, the walk there and back took over 1 hour. We only managed the small waterfall in time. But we had it to ourselves, which was very nice.

We had booked an excursion with a German-speaking guide, our guide spoke very good Russian and Spanish, and a little German and normal English. We expected more from the whale conservation program. On the way back, the ship drove with a party atmosphere on board, very loud music and at high speed through the protection zone. What should be sustainable about it?
