Spend the day discovering the natural and cultural heritage of Lake Titicaca. One of the first ethnic groups in the Andean region, the Uro people built their homes and livelihoods on floating islands made from reeds. Tour the islands by boat before stopping off at Taquile to meet the locals and enjoy a traditional lunch on the lake.  The adventure starts with hotel pick up from central Puno at 7:00 AM. Drive to the shores of the lake before hopping in a boat for the 1.5-hour journey to Taquile. Ride in comfort on a fast boat with an experienced guide. Restrooms are available onboard and along the way you'll enjoy stunning views of the lake. Upon arrival at Taquile, enjoy a 1-hour walk around the island. Stop by a village to see a cultural demonstration by the locals and learn the art of Taquile textile making which was recognized by UNESCO for its intangible heritage. At 12:00 PM, a lunch of quinoa soup, fresh fish, and vegetables will be served. Enjoy the local flavors while learning about day-to-day life on the island.  After lunch, walk back to the main dock in Taquile for the return transfer. At 3:30 PM, the group arrives in Puno for hotel drop-off.

Get picked up from your hotel in Puno at 6:30 AM for a quick transfer to the city bus station. Travel by road alongside Lake Titicaca towards the Bolivian side of the border until your reach Copacabana, admiring stunning shoreline views over quintessential Altiplano landscapes.  Make a brief visit to the beautiful Sanctuary of the Virgin of Copacabana before boarding a catamaran to begin your cruise to Sun Island, the cradle of the Inca Empire. Once at this legendary island, visit the Inca palace at Pilko Kaina, followed by the Inca Garden located on top of the Island. Continue to explore Inti Wata Cultural Complex, the main private tourist attraction in Bolivia, that includes the underground Museum of Ekako, various centers of traditional medicine, Titikaka Reed Shipbuilders display centers, the Pachamama Agricultural Inca Terraces, a craft center, the Intica lounge, and a vast array of Andean camelids in the Manco Capac lookout. While at the complex, you can take an optional sailing experience on a huge traditional Titicaca vessel and admire panoramic views of the Pilko Kaina Inca palace. Afterwards, board the catamaran once more and continue on to Copacabana while enjoying the majestic panorama of Lake Titicaca. Finally, board the bus and get dropped off in La Paz at around 7:30 PM.

Day 1: Arrival in Lima, City Tour Your tour will begin as you are picked up from the airport, after which you will begin a city tour. That evening you will stay at the Miramar Hotel or similar in Lima. Day 2: Paracas, Ica, and Huacachina with Buggies and Sandboarding Visit the Ballestas Islands, Candelabrum, before a wine and Pisco demonstration in Ica city. Later that day, take part in riding buggies and sandboarding in Huacachina. That evening you will once again stay at the Miramar Hotel or similar in Lima. Day 3: Arrival to Cusco On your third day you will arrive to Cusco, where you will have a free day for acclimatizing. That evening you will lodge in the Cusco Jungle Hotel or similar. Day 4: Chinchero, Maras, and Moray in the Sacred Valley of the Incas Begin with a visit to the Chinchero textile center, before moving onward to the archaeological sites in Chinchero and Moray. Following that, you will tour the salt mines in Maras before lodging at the Golden Sunrise Hotel or similar in Aguas Calientes. Day 5: Machu Picchu Inca Citadel On day 5 you will explore the breathtaking Machu Picchu, which is one of the Seven Wonders of the world. Following a full day at this sacred site, you will overnight at the Cusco Jungle Hotel or similar. Day 6: Humanatay Lake On your sixth day you will trek to Humantay Lake, which is close to the snowy Salkantay mountain. That evening you will once again lodge in the Cusco Jungle Hotel or similar. Day 7: Rainbow Mountain Trek to Rainbow Mountain, which is very close to the highest mountain of Cusco: the Ausangate Mountain. Following your day of hiking, you will return once more to the Cusco Jungle Hotel or similar to overnight. Day 8: Route of the Sun On day 8 you will take a touristic bus between Cusco and Puno. Throughout this journey you will visit the Andahuaylillas Chapel, Raqchi Archaeological Complex, La Raya Pass, and the Lithic Museum of Pukara. That evening you will stay at the Royal Inn or similar. Day 9: Titicaca Lake and the Uros and Taquile Islands On your final day you will take a speed boat tour of Lake Titicaca, before exploring the Uros and Taquile Islands. In the afternoon, you will transfer to the airport where your tour will conclude.
