Discover both a lake originating from a glacier and an active volcano famous for its perfectly-shaped crater with this package. Choose to depart from Puerto Varas or Puerto Montt. After pickup from selected hotels in Puerto Varas and Puerto Montt, head to the southern shores of the Llanquihue Lake, where you'll learn about the German settlers and agriculture in the region. Once in the Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park, admire the imposing Petrohué Waterfalls, which stun visitors with their turquoise waters. Begin your day by taking a boat down the Chacao canal for 30 minutes, where you spot a wide variety of birds, before arriving at the village of Chacao to visit its square and church. Continue to Castro to stop for lunch at your own expense. Visit the typical stilted houses in the Gamboa district, the main square, and the Nercón Church which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Originally constructed around 1890, the church is considered a national monument. Start your trip early in the morning at the local supplier's office in Puerto Varas, where you will meet your host for the day. Climb aboard the bus to be taken into Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park, bordering the beautiful Llanquihue Lake. See the mouth of the Rio Pescado river and small towns such as La Poza before heading to the city of Ensenada. Here, you have the chance to visit Petrohué Falls. Cross the walkways installed amidst lush vegetation and beautiful scenery on the River Petrohué and admire the turquoise waterfalls. Then, continue your tour with Todos los Santos Lake, where you will board an Andean Lakes catamaran. Navigate through the Andes to the green village of Peulla. We start our trip to Frutillar, first visiting the city of Llanquihue, famous for their sausages, and it is where Maullin River begins, and this area is part of the ancient Route of Settlers. In the city we visit the Memorial to the German Colonists, and then we will continue along the Llanquihue Lake to the Frutillar city. This city is a beautiful village that recalls the old Bavaria, from there were the first settlers who arrived to this area. The city started in 1856 as a boarding pier, soon appeared tanneries, mills, breweries, etc. We will walk around its beautiful old houses of German style, admiring the gardens and incomparable views of the volcanoes Osorno and Puntiagudo. As an option, passengers can go to the German Colonial Museum which portrays the life of the settlers, and at the lake shore, observe the Teatro del Lago (Lake Theatre) here each year is presented the famous Frutillar Musical Week , that is a Summer Festival, presents classic music from Chile and abroad that offer each year, approximately 40 concerts .

Starting from Puerto Varas, begin your tour of the Osorno Volcano by Llanquihue Lake. The unique landscape featuring both the Osorno and Calbuco volcanoes will keep you company until you arrive at Ensenada where we start to ascend to the Osorno Ski and Mountain Center. You have an hour's time for sightseeing, taking pictures, and appreciating a unique view of the summit of the Calbuco volcano with glaciers, Lake Llanquihue, and the Pacific Ocean. You can use this moment for a cup of coffee or a snack, as well as take the lift to the Primavera Station at 1450 meters above sea level, or the Glaciar Station at 1750 meters. Next, go to Petrohué at the Vicente Perez Rosales National Park, enjoying the landscape and magnificent view of the volcanoes Osorno and Calbuco until you reach Petrohué. Explore the second largest lake in Chile and admire its wild forests, snowcapped volcanoes, and small German-influenced villages. Discover the picturesque towns like Frutillar, Puerto Varas, and Puerto Varay that surround the lake, all famous for the predominantly German influence on their architecture, food, and traditional summer events. Lake Llanquihue is considered to be one of the most beautiful lakes in Chile and is set in over 87,700 hectares. On this trip, take a complete tour of the lake from Puerto Varas or Puerto Montt. Travel over 186 kilometers (115.6 miles) around the lake, with only 30 of these kilometers (18.6 miles) on a proper gravel road. After pickup from Puerto Montt or Puerto Varas, set off along some of the most scenic roads in the country toward Ensenada, before arriving at the Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park, home to beautiful lakes, flora, and fauna. A couple of kilometers further north, find Puerto Octay, a small village where you can visit the Centinela bay and strip of land, with some of the best views in the region. Continue toward the south of the lake, with a truly unforgettable view of 3 volcanoes situated in between various little islands. Upon arrival in Frutillar, admire the colonial German houses, enjoy the sandy beach, and visit the modern Teatro del Lago. From Frutillar, proceed south along the waterfront to the village of Llanquihue and end up in Puerto Varas or Puerto Montt.

Beginning of the tour leaving the respective Hotels in Puerto Varas or Puerto Montt, visiting first the highest point of the city, where we will be able to appreciate a panoramic view of the city of Puerto Montt, we will visit the monument to the German Colonists, and then continue towards the Pelluco Spa, starting from kilometer 0 of the Carretera Austral, we will return along this same route to move towards the Angelmo sector. We will also visit Angelmo Avenue, famous in our country for its large number of Craft Shops and of course the Caleta de Pescadores and Municipal Market where we will learn about the daily activity of seafarers who come to this place bringing traditional seafood and fish. to later be sold in the Market, in this market we will also find the typical kitchens where the richest and most traditional typical dishes that characterize our area are sold. We will end our tour at the Chinquihue Spa. Traveling through the Pan-American Highway we will travel around 18 kilometers to arrive at the beautiful city of Puerto Varas, also known as the City of Roses, we will know its main tourist attractions such as the Cathedral Church built in the year, of Monumental Baroque style is a replica Exact image of a Church in the Black Forest in Germany, where some settlers who arrived in our area from the year 1852 came from, we will visit the Philippi Park, where we will be able to appreciate a partial view of what the city is, then we will descend towards the Central sector bordering the beautiful Llanquihue Lake and as a backdrop we will see if the weather allows it the imposing Osorno Volcano which with its melting feeds Lake Llanquihue every day, we will end our tour in the Puerto Chico Spa located about 3 km from the city center.

Really good day out only spoilt a bit by the Tabano flies which were in abundance. The return boat journey is beautiful. Puella is only small place so maybe take the 4x 4 option which we didn't. There is a hotel & a bar which serve food.
