Full description
Following a 2-hour drive you will arrive to Hotel las Torres. Following a safety briefing from your guide, the excursion will begin. The track takes you up into the Asencio River Valley, and 2 hours later you will arrive in El Chileno, a camping site where your hike will continue through a dense forested area. There you can also admire a small stream which flows from the Almirante Nieto peak. The path brings you to a moraine, where the slope steepens until the Paine Towers viewpoint, which sits at 890 meters above sea level. At the viewpoint you will enjoy incredible views of the three towers, and will also have some time to have lunch and rest for your return journey. If weather conditions permit it, you will be able to observe one of the most spectacular views worldwide. You will return along the same path to “Hosteria Las Torres”, where your bus will be waiting. Your approximate time of arrival back to Puerto Natales is 9:00PM.

It was a very good experience. The road is beautiful. It is necessary to have a fairly good level of physical condition to do it, particularly if you are not a person who does a lot of trekking like me. I was able to do it and felt good in terms of endurance but my muscles were sore 2-3 days later. We were lucky with the weather because it didn't rain but there was wind, sun, and snow. It is very important to wear layers that resist water and wind.

Since it was a day trip, we didn't have that much time so on the way up and down we moved kinda fast so at times it felt a bit hectical. But on top of the towers we did take a nice break. My spanish isn't great so I didn't understand everything the guides told us because they didn't speak english much as well, but they were friendly and helpful. I overall enjoyed the trip and the group very much.

The guides were very engaging and mindful of the different fitness levels of the group. This is a long and sometimes steep hike - beautiful and made easier by the guides setting expectations for the group.as We drove into the park, we scared a puma away from a guanaco it was feeding on right by the road - and saw it and another puma feeding on the way out! Other buses drove right by, but our guides were just as excited as we were to watch our personal NatGeo!
