What people are saying about Puebla
Eventhough the pick up was 30 min. late, the tour guide was very good and funny, making the trip interesting and enjoyable. I don't like food too spicy hot, and the restaurant the tour guide recommended was very good. We even tried the famous mexican sauce, mole, without chili. The only concern was the traffic in Mexico City. We were back in town around 7pm, but traffic was so bad that we didn't get back to hotel till 9pm. But I have to say the driver was very good in taking us through small streets already. A good tour.
Walking in the city of Puebla is very relaxing!! The buildings are colorful outside and insides always companied a small garden where you can dine or have a cup of tea!! Although the lunch is not included but I love the local specialized foods: Mole (with chicken) & Chile en Nogada (stuffed chili with walnut cream sauce)!! Between Puebla & Cholula, you will pass a very unique church called "santa maria tonantzintla" that has an awesome interior construction!
What a magical pueblo to visit! Even though there was no English audio, the company provided a bilingual guide who was available to answer questions. I traveled with a resident of Puebla and did not actually need all of the guide's time, she was very helpful in making suggestions for lunch and available for more if I had needed her help. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to better understand Baroque and see incredible examples in the Iglesias.
Overall great trip, but a long drive with limited legroom if you are tall! Guides were excellent, info in Spanish and English, walking tour of Puebla was interesting. Most of the sites visited were churches - very nice, but would be nice to see some different attractions too. Nice buffet lunch, lots of choice, and some markets to buy souvenirs.
Alma our guide spoke great English, was knowledgeable and created a great experience for us on out tour. The bus was very comfortable, great seats and a comfortable temperature. On our day there were many more Spanish speakers than English speakers but Alma kept us all feeling attended to.
