Museo Picasso Málaga: Ticket & Audioguide

1. Museo Picasso Málaga: Ticket & Audioguide

The Museo Picasso Málaga was created in response to the artist's desire for his work to be exhibited in the city of his birth in 1881. Its realization is thanks to the combined efforts of the artist´s daughter-in-law and grandson, whose donations provide the body of the art collection, and Junta de Andalucía, who arranged an ambitious project devoted to the artist. Located in the Palacio de Buenavista, declared a National Monument in 1939, the Museo Picasso Málaga opened in the heart of Málaga in 2003. The building boasts a harmonic mix of Renaissance and Mudéjar elements and serene contemporary lines. Phoenician, Roman, and Arabic ruins can be found on the underground floor. This ticket provides access to the permanent collection or the temporary exhibition. The permanent collection contains examples of Picasso's revolutionary innovations. See paintings, drawings, sculptures, ceramics, and graphic work, from his first academic studies to his personal Neoclassical perspective, from the overlapping forms of Cubism to his experiments in ceramics, and from his interpretation of the Old Masters to his last paintings of the 1970s. Purchase a combined ticket and you will also get access to the museum’s temporary exhibitions. The temporary exhibitions change on a regular basis.  Break for a snack in the garden café of the Palacio de Buenavista, a perfect place to end your visit with an appetizer, lunch, or a drink in one of the nicest spots in Málaga. The upcoming temporary exhibitions are : The Paris of Brassaï. Photographs of the City Picasso Loved: October 2021-April 2022

What people are saying about Province of Málaga

This was the most fantastic tour I’ve ever had! Very personable driver who spoke fluent English was waiting for me at cruise terminal and whisked me away to Alhambra where I met my guide who was fluent in Arabic as well as English, and very knowledgeable in Islamic culture and history, which enabled him to provide detailed explanations of the Alhambra’s unique design, artwork and symbolism throughout the palaces. Tour time also allowed me to explore Granada’s old town before being returned to ship. I highly recommend.

Beautiful cars and i love the display of dresses from the same era! Very well thought of and great learning!

Flavio is fantastic for his knowledge and for how he tells the whole story of the Alcazaba

Wonderful trip for anyone wanting to learn the beauty of Andalusia!

We entered without queuing and ahead of schedule. Very well.
