Easy to find right at far east gate as you walk up from old town Prague. The collection was well displayed and the audio guide narrated by the family brought the palace to life. I planned to spend only about a half hour there and ended up spending over an hour.

very nice collection, interesting family history

The Lobkowicz Palace is definitely worth a visit. First we went to the lunch concert, then we had an excellent meal on the terrace of the restaurant with a view of the city (you get a 10% consumption voucher at the cash desk when you exchange your voucher for the tickets). Then we went to see the exhibition - a fantastic private collection of paintings, porcelain, weapons and musical instruments belonging to the Lobkowicz family, whose family history can be heard on the audio guide. Made very entertaining and interesting. It's also worth it if you don't have that much time, you don't need more than 1.5 hours through the halls. It is best to take the east entrance to the castle: get off at the underground / tram stop 'Malostranská' and follow the footpath to the castle. Make sure you plan enough time for the security checks at the castle entrances on weekends and in high season!
