Good value for the money paid for the entrance fee, there is a reasonable amount to see, should get better once the landing craft is able to be viewed, the only gripe is now everything has to be so clean the trays in the cafe need a damn good washing, unfortunately the material they seem to be made from may not allow this? Either way, wash or change them!!
Very interesting to find out so much about the build up to D Day and how brave the servicemen were knowing that there chances of survival were slim. The landing craft was just being moved into its new home, which was an added bonus.
Fun way to pass a couple of hours and learn some bits about Portsmouth we wouldn't have otherwise. Note it was cheaper to book via TripAdvisor and Eventbrite although neither of those sites would let me book for the same day.
Brilliant! Good range of exhibits with clear info - the numbered sheets seemed out of order versus the displays in places. . Overlord tapestry was superb. Staff very pleasant with social distancing followed.
This a very insightful museum with lots of interesting facts and details about one of the most important days in our history. Highly recommend going and experiencing all there is yo offer.
