This was a most excellent day tour from 8am until 6.30pm. an unexpected pleasure (as don't normally take tours) booked for a party of 10. Comfortable bus & friendly driver with a great song playlist (which he was happy we joined in with which we did often!), Two contrasting vineyards &tasty 3 course lunch, river cruise short&sweet and a fantastic guide Daniel who got us band of daft Irish travellers. Informative, articulate, knowledgeable, raconteur (incl jokes) who added immeasurably to the whole day. An early start got off to a perfect start with his charming smile&stop for coffee in that interesting church&beautiful village & coffee shop (for sticky bun enthusiasts like ourselves). Learnt so much about port and the heritage of the Douro valley and have told everyone!

The first winery tour was short and not very informative however the lunch was excellent. All served quickly and professionally. The Douro cruise was good. Would be even better on a dry day! The second winery was very good. Suzanna was very informative and funny. The journey was long. Especially on the way back.

The tour is indescribable. The Douro Region has a unique nature. We made a first stop in Amarante, which gave us stunning photos. There, whoever was interested, could have breakfast in the city center. Then, we stop at Casa dos Barros, a family-owned property, where we enjoy one of the best meals of the trip, with entree, main course and dessert. Before that lunch, we had a guided tour with tasting of the Port wines produced on the property. In the afternoon, we went to Pinhão, where we took a boat trip through the Douro and from there, we went to CROFT, for another wine tasting. We return to Porto at the agreed time. The guide Paulo was very attentive throughout the tour. Transport was a very comfortable van.
