Had a great time! Miguel is a very animated and fun guide, sharing lots of fun stories and such along the way. The park itself is very impressive.. majestic, scenic views. There's also a quaint village (where u start your hike). There you will also find a small bar and restrooms; so you can have a coffee and buy some food/drinks before setting off. It was very, very hot on our day; nevertheless, I think most people who are more or less active (and wearing appropriate clothing/shoes) will manage fine on this hike. Swimming in the lagunes is lovely; could have stayed all day, if it were up to me. There are other people there as well (mostly Portuguese locals actually), but because you get there relatively early in the day, you'll be able to find a good spot for your towel. Our group had a great click as well, and we made plans to meet up the following days as well. Definitely recommended!
It was a short fun packed trip! Josue, our driver took good care of us and ensured that we had a fun and safe trip. He is an excellent driver. He also took great photos which he forwarded to us after the trip. During our trip, we had a surprise in store for us :) But you have to go on this trip to get to know, otherwise it will not be a surprise....hahaha! The views are breathtaking and Josue is also knowledgeable about the area and he kept giving us information about the place of Valongo and its surroundings.
GREAT !!! All was superb, Joss and his partner were great Guide/Driver, very friendly and knowledgeable. Also full of good tips on activities in the area. We all thoroughly enjoyed the ride, and we had 2 seniors 2 adults and 2 children, which in itself is proof that the hosts could entertain all. This really was the activity that topped all others during our week holiday in Porto. DO NOT MISS the vantage points over douro valley and Porto.
This trip was absolutely amazing! picked up from our apartment and taken to the beautiful mountains, where the views were incredible. We also learned a lot about the history of Porto and were shown Roman mines, and visited a picturesque village with only 12 inhabitants; it was something out of a fairytale. Ricardo was an amazing host, made us feel very comfortable and safe, and I would thoroughly recommend! :)
If you’re in Porto, it’s a must. Can’t recommend it enough. It’s a lovely walk and hike to the Seven Lakes, where you can enjoy a refreshing dip. Adriano is a brilliant guide. Very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. He also has more than one exciting surprise along the way. Be warned, chances of breaking out in spontaneous karaoke are real.
