The tram and funicular was why I gave the 4 star score. They are a must to tick off, and a great way to see views and travel from one point to another. The bus was great to hear about the history and see sights, but not very reliable to show up, or if it did show up you wasn’t guaranteed to get on as very busy. Drivers were very helpful and gave lots of information. I would advise to stay on the bus to do the full tour, so you see the full route then on second lap get off at the point you want to explore. We got off halfway and then never got back on a bus as the schedule on the live app kept changing the arrival time and a bus never shown up for over an hour so we ended up walking.

We throughly enjoyed the 2 bus journeys (historical and castles), the furnicular as well. But we did not make use of the tram ticket as we ran out of time. The ticket is valid for 90 days but it is highly unlikely we will be back in Portugal /Porto to make use of them.

Tram ride nice but quite short, same route there and back. Line 18 is less crowded than the first funicular. Note the opening times. I came at a time that according to the internet was still open but they said they were closing. Better during the day. Bus tour quite good. Music loud between the explanations. The normal tour is enough in my opinion.
