Start at 8.30 AM to avoid the crowds and high heat. Set off towards the Paiva Walkways and climb the stairway, one of the highlights of this walk. Restore your energy with a delicious traditional lunch in a typical Portuguese restaurant.
Then head to Aveiro and appreciate the hand-painted tiles at the old train station which will help you to understand the city's culture, tradition, and history. Wander through the old quarter to see the main Art Nouveau buildings, the fish market, and taste one of the city's delicacies, soft-eggs.
Board a moliceiro - one of the traditional boats of the Aveiro canals - and explore the city from the water. Continue on towards Costa Nova, a magnificent fishing village famous for its wooden houses painted in bright striped colors. Return to your hotel in Porto.
