What people are saying about Porto District

My first time to experience Fado, absolutely wonderful musicians and vocalist, and the explanations of the history, background, style etc. were great. It felt authentic and the passion and skill of the artists was incredible. If you don’t want your enjoyment hampered by seeing other people’s smartphones in your field of vision while they are filming the show, get there early and sit in the front row! If you are one of those people who would rather watch a unique and amazing live event through a small screen, instead of watching the actual performers directly, please be considerate to other audience members behind you and next to you whose experience will be very negatively affected by the bright light coming from your smartphone being held up, waved around, etc. If you have an apple watch then switch off your notifications during the show as these are intensely distruptive too! If you just want to sit there scrolling through your news feed, sending messages, go somewhere else!

Amazing introduction to authentic fado. So much passion, extremely intimate, and so very moving. Would recommend without hesitation.

Our guide was thorough and very informative. We loved this tour. It was pouring rain but still a great experience.

A lovely evening, loved the fact they had a video about the history of fado & the port was delicious too

Most stunning voices. Wonderful experience. Charismatic and talented musicians.
