Full description

Explore Orford Heads from the water on a guided kayaking tour. Paddle off into the Pacific Ocean with your guide and kayak to striking caves, arches, and hidden beaches. Keep an eye out for many different types of marine and coastal life, including whales and eagles.

Start your morning with a visit to the office to get your wetsuit and gear for your tour. After a safety talk on the beach, follow your guide as you paddle into the Pacific Ocean and over to the majestic Orford Heads.

Along your paddle, stay alert for many different types of intertidal critters, sea birds, marine mammals, and interesting geological formations. See small and big sea caves and a rock arch, as well as the historical site of the old Coast Guard Rescue Station Orford Heads. Learn first-hand from your local guide about the area and the animals that inhabit it. Ask questions, get close to the sea stars, touch a jelly fish, and maybe taste a couple of different kinds of kelp.
