  • See the highest sea cliffs in the Southern Hemisphere
  • Enter deep sea caves, archways, waterfalls and blowholes
  • Watch wildlife including hundreds of seals, thousands of seabirds, dolphins and migrating whales
Full description
The cruise travels beneath the highest vertical sea cliffs in the Southern Hemisphere at Cape Pillar. Guests explore waterfalls, rock formations, archways and deep-sea caves. The coastline is part of the Tasman National Park. It is home to a variety of wildlife including hundreds of seals, migrating whales and abundant sea birds in their thousands. At any time of year you're likely to see the feeding frenzy of diving gannets, albatross and sea eagles wheeling on the wind, cliff-nesting cormorants and peregrine falcons, or a pod of playful dolphins surfing the bow wave of the boat. The custom built yellow boats are ideal for viewing the spectacular coastline and wildlife of the Tasman Peninsula. Each vessel holds a maximum of 43 guests. Covered open-air tiered seating means an excellent all-round view and connection with the environment. The boats are safe, comfortable and gentle on the environment due to their fuel efficiency and low emission operation.

Got to see Tasmania from a different perspective - beautiful cliffs, arches, Candlestick and Totem, wildlife and history. One suggestion though, If you are travelling back to Hobart, join the boats at Eaglehawk rather than Port Arthur. Will save you a 1 hour plus round trip. Our guides were very accommodating with this request.

It was a great day, very knowledgeable guides & deck hands. They were very focussed on safety, I was happy about that, we saw some spectacular sights & wildlife in their very natural habitat. I would suggest to dress very warmly as it was so cold on the way back, because the boat goes faster, it’s later in the day and the chill is polarising!!

Very professional in their approach. Their commentary is very informative & well laced with humour. In addition, one is in safe hands as the the team navigate in what can be very challenging conditions at times. This cruise must rate as one of the best, if not the best, in the world as the Tasman coast with it's cliffs, the highest in the Southern hemisphere, it's sea caves, the dolphins & seals is truly stunning!! Thanks to one and all from the front staff in the shop to the crew of our boat!
