Explore the Chartrons district from the Garonne River. Climb aboard the pleasure electric drive boat Sirius at Les Bateaux Bordelais landing stage (Quais des Chartrons) in the city center. Set sail at 6:45 PM, and cruise by the historic façades of the UNESCO-listed Port de la Lune with the romantic Stone bridge, and modern district of Bacalan with th eCité du Vin museum. Pass under the lift bridge of Pont Jacques-Chaban-Delmas, and continue past the Pont d’Aquitaine (Bordeaux' Golden Gate). The Bordeaux tour was A lovely walking introduction to the city. The guide Catherine was very knowledgeable and her sense of humour was amazing. On top of that she was conducting the tour in French and English, as the group was of mixed nationalities!
