On the way, admire the architecture of the Zulawy region with its unique arcaded houses. Look inside and see how local people lived many years ago.  In Frombork, otherwise known as "The Jewel of Warmia" or “The End of the World,” you can find a fascinating local heritage, home to the famous mathematician Nicolaus Copernicus. Here, you will visit all of the town’s most interesting sights, including Cathedral Hill, bishopric palaces, diocesan chanceries, and defensive walls and towers. Enter the former Palace of Warmian Bishops, which now functions as the Museum of Copernicus. Inside, you will see many interesting exhibitions about this remarkable astronomer and his achievements.  Also visit the pearl among local sacred buildings, the Gothic Cathedral (Archcathedral Basilica). It is a unique architectonic structure with a mix of Teutonic and Warmian Bishop history. Then, go on a 45-minute-long cruise through the Vistula Lagoon for spectacular views. Finally, visit a lovely little café in the Water Tower of Frombork. This was the oldest water supply system on Polish soil and in Europe. Today, the Water Tower provies a splendid viewpoint for views of Cathedral Hill, the Old Town, and the Vistula Lagoon.

Although difficult to find , follow the link from the Solidarity building ( 500 m) and you’ll find it. Had exclusive cruise on interesting boat, , great guide Peter and really enjoyed the experience. It’s a unique place, still with working parts and well worth a visit. Amazing value for under £10!
