Delphi lies 180 kilometers northwest of Athens, on the slopes of mountain Parnassus, close to Arachova, a beautiful mountainous town. The route to Delphi is amazing, full of sensational, natural landscapes and cute country villages. Delphi is a magical place where history meets with mythology. During antiquity (6th century B.C.), Delphi was the most significant point of reference for ancient Greeks, known throughout the ancient Greek world and beyond, as the sanctuary of Apollo, god of light and knowledge, and the shrine of his high priestess and seer, Pythia. Both kings and mortals consulted the notorious Pythia, about their future. She would even predict the outcomes of battles and wars. Isn’t it exciting? Common people would consult her as well if they could afford it. Nowadays, Delphi is one of the most famous archaeological sites in Greece. Since it is located on a mountain slope, divided into two levels by the main road, the views you will enjoy are out of this world. The site and the museum is a must-visit for people from all over the world who want to learn all about its remarkable history and also admire an awe-inspiring location of raw beauty. The tour is a must if you have a passion for the ancient ruins of Greece and Greek mythological myths. Visiting the site was magical with an incredible view of the valleys and mountains. We did the tour towards the end of June and it was very hot. So definitely bring sunscreen and water, however, despite the heat, it is still very worth the trip. Demitrius was a wonderful tour guide who made the trip to Delphi insightful, fun and engaging. Would highly recommend for someone who enjoys exploring.

This trip is not to be missed! We enjoyed the ride to Delphi which passed by a very beautiful town. At Delphi, we witnessed a magnificent view of the entire place and a gorgeous mountain view. We enjoyed this visit way more than Acropolis. Many thanks to our driver guide, George who picked us up on time, provided us sufficient time for toilet breaks and recommended a nice family restaurant where we enjoyed the most delicious Greek meal.
