I booked this tour for 1pm and when I received the confirmation email the company said they would pick us up at 8am from our hotel. Even though 8am was fine, I wanted to just confirm that I had booked 1pm as that did suit us better. This proved difficult as my explanation must have got lost in translation and we ended up not having a choice for the 1pm tour and got picked up at 8am. The tour was great and our guide was lovely, and to be honest 8am would have been the better choice anyway but just double double check the time you will get picked up! :) a bonus was that they still ran the tours through the Khmer New Year which we much appreciated!!
The guide, Mr Bou or Bou, already gave me an inside of the history on the way to the killing fields. Arrived there, he explained the exact development of the Khmer Rouge, the history behind and the facts. He gave me time to look around as well and his rational and calm way of explaining help me personally a lot to digest easier what happened . Thanks a lot for that half day tour - loads of thanks to the driver and Bou!
The killing fields and genocide museum is a very emotional and confronting tour. Leaves you feeling helpless. An amazing testament to the resilience and strength of the Cambodian people. So sad. Even though we had a local guide I would have liked option of an audio tour of the two locations.
Our tour guide was excellent with a great English skill and very nice way to describe all the aspect of our visit! I really appreciate his effort to let us experience part of the history of this country. Once again please reward Baboon for his great job.
Our guide Ting was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and spoke very good English. There was ample time in the 4 hour trip to learn and see everything we wanted. The transport was absolutely fine and the driver was safe.
