What people are saying about Penglipuran Village

Our guide & driver John was absolutely fantastic. He made our day really special, took amazing photos for us & made sure we had everything we needed. All the cycling guides were outstanding making sure we were safe amongst the traffic & scooters, teaching us about the history & culture of Bali. It was terrific to see the temple & village, stunning rice padi fields, countryside, beautiful scenery. We stopped for morning coffee where we were guided through plants & herbs, saw how coffee is roasted & ground using traditional methods & had a tea & coffee tasting. It was great to see Bali by bike, mostly downhill, with not too much effort involved & the beautiful & friendly Balinese people waving & shouting hello as we passed through their villages. There was plenty of food & bottled water provided. We highly recommend this tour, you won’t be disappointed.

I was lucky enough to be the only person cycling that day so we went at my pace. I can cycle on normal roads but found some of the jungle paths and very narrow bits (with a large drop down) quite difficult at times. This was never an issue though, the guides were very understanding and allowed me to walk during those bits. The traditional village and temples that we visited are also very nice. I also visited a coffee plantation and had a chance to go on the big swing before the bike ride as well as a nice buffett lunch with amazing views over Mt Batur.

Amazing day to discover balinese culture. The cooking class was very interesting, I will do the recipes again in my country. It was also very nice to meet children at school and go to waterfall. Wayan is an amazing guide, he speaks with passion of Bali. Thank you for this day !

Amazing day !! A big thank you to our wonderful guide Sumi and his family for welcoming us into his home and showing us the true culture of Bali.

I recommend to everyone! It was simple great! Especially the bike ride, the guide was on top
