Covid-19 Update

Due to health and safety regulations, this itinerary may change. See Know before you go for the latest updates.

Choose a morning start time when it is less crowded, and then meet your guide to start your journey in Paris at the Eiffel Tower. You will hear tales as you walk, and learn about its creation for the International Exposition of 1889, a world fair. Detested by Parisians in its early days, the tower eventually won over the hearts of the locals and it became the city’s most feted icon. After you pass the 2 security controls, you will head straight up to the second floor or summit (depending of the option that you book) by elevator while enjoying anecdotes and tales of history about the Paris landmarks below your feet. You will also walk around the viewing gallery and soak up sights of Champs de Mars and Montparnasse Tower.  Your next experience is a river cruise a with a flexible start time. Hop aboard your sightseeing boat at the water’s edge, and relax out on deck or in the lower saloon as you cruise along the famous river. Cutting through the city, the Seine takes in some glamorous sights and its Paris riverbanks have been awarded UNESCO World Heritage status. Listen to entertaining commentary as you cruise and gaze out at sights such as the Louvre, an iconic building that’s home to some of the world’s most celebrated artwork. Have your camera poised to capture photos of Notre Dame— a UNESCO World Heritage site — and marvel at the attention-grabbing façade of La Conciergerie. The former royal palace and prison once housed some of the country’s most important political prisoners such as Marie Antoinette and Napoleon III. After an hour on the water, cruise back to the start point where your tour finishes

The guide was very late which worries us greatly. Other than that it was fine. It was great to skip the line to get tickets, however we did not skip the line to get to the summit. All in all it accomplished what we wanted which was to skip the line to get tickets and to get to the summit.

This was a good experience if you can’t find skip the line. This was early morning. We all gathered around 7:30 at a meeting point easily reachable. We left at 8:10 from the meeting point with our guide. Then waited in the security line about 30 min. Then waited in the ticket line about 1 hour. Which was not bad. As it was morning and weather was good. We reached the Eiffel Tower elevators around 9:30-10. And were done by 11:30. You can take as long as you want. The cruise was easy to find as well. It’s right across the Eiffel Tower and was very punctual. Boat ride is about an hour. And the ticket is valid up to a year. 10:30 pm is the last boat. The company is legit. And organized. We did not have skip the line. If we had that we wouldn’t have to wait in the ticket line. However everyone has to go through the security line.

1.5 hours queuing and guide 40 mins late

We booked for 8am guided tour and instructions were to arrive 20 mins before that. We arrived 30 mins before as not sure of location and dozens of other visitors assembled. Guide Stefan didn't turn up until 10 past 8 with no apology. He escorted us to the Eiffel tour, provided tickets, put us in a queue where we waited another 1.5 hours which wasn't great as we were expecting a skip the line service for the price. Inside the tower was great but we couldn't see the guide so missed some of his commentary. Views were great but I think It's better to view Tower from ground than other way round. Seine cruise was actually more enjoyable and less queuing. Price on tickets provided by guide for Eiffel Tower to top level was €25 so rather overpriced for not much service.
