Full description
Enjoy a 3-hour walking tour of Paris, with passionate guides who work only for their tips. The expert guides love Paris and believe that you deserve the best possible tour, no matter what your travel budget is. As you walk, you will learn of the city’s incredible history, from its beginnings as a medieval village, to the capital of Napoleonic Rule, from the beheadings of the French Revolution, to the excitement of La Belle Epoque, and not forgetting the years of Nazi Occupation, to the secrets of today's Paname. The free walking tour covers all the main city sites, such as the beautiful grounds of the Louvre. You will walk along the banks of the River Seine, and through the bohemian Latin Quarter, with its lively bistros and cafés. Go to the origin of Paris at the Ile-de-la-Cité, the island where the medieval city began. Pass the Louvre, one of the most famous museums in the world. Gaze up at the Eiffel Tower, built for the 1889 World Fair and now the ultimate emblem of Paris. Wander through the pretty Tuileries Gardens, and past the city's historic bridges, such as the ornate Pont Alexandre III connecting the Champs-Élysées and Les Invalides. Explore revolutionary history at Napoleon's Tomb and the Arc de Triomphe, erected to honor those who fought in the Napoleonic Wars. And admire the Beaux-Arts splendors of the Grand & Petit Palais, celebrations of the glories of the new French Republic.

Dawie pronounced Davie was great! He was fun and entertaining. I enjoyed this tour a lot. I went to the Shakespeare bookstore and got the Hunchback of Notre Dame by Victor Hugo as he recommended. I’m excited to read it. I didn’t know he’s also the author of Les Misérables. Thank you Dawie! :)

It was really good! The tour start raining a lot, so we decided that it was better don’t do it, but then the weather got better and even if we didn’t do the completely but it was really nice anyway. Specially thank to Charlie (the guide tour) because of his patience and his humor even with that weather at the beginning!!
