Everything I expected and more. Incredible works of art. Suggestions: Have a plan on the works you want to see first. Know where you are going. See them then go through the museum in Chronicle order. Walk through take in the art. Every floor has many treasurers. Go to see in the winter less crowds. Unfortunately no matter when you go tge line for the Mona Lisa is crazy and so are the people trying to get close.

Allocate half a day at least to cover 80% of the exhibits . It’s a shame that only a few of the exhibits have English descriptions. Everything else is in French. And don’t bother about renting the smart guide pad.. it doesn’t help much and takes a while to figure out how it works
