Highlights
  • Ascend to both the second level and summit of the Eiffel Tower with your guide
  • Take a boat cruise on the Seine and a walking tour on the Ile de la Cite
  • See the Cathedral from outside
Full description
Meet your guide at the Eiffel Tower and ascend the elevator towards the top of this iconic Parisian attraction. Along the way you will learn about Gustave Eiffel himself, and upon reaching the second level you will take a walk around its perimeter to view the city's landmarks. Learn about the tower's lights, construction, paint and get a brief lesson on the proud history of the city. Next it’s up to the Summit to see Paris from 300 meters in the sky. When you return to the ground level, enjoy a boat cruise on the River Seine for a 30 minute ride filled with views of Paris’ most famous landmarks. In the event that the Summit is closed (at the discretion of the Eiffel Tower staff) your guide will use this extra time to visit other landmarks according to time allowed and the group's preference such as the Latin Quarter or the Arc de Triomphe. Your next stop is the Ile de la Cite, where you can view the cathedral of Notre Dame from Point Zero, the geographic center of Paris. After your visit to see the cathedral, stroll on this island past the ornate gates of the Palace of Justice, the Conciergerie where Marie Antoinette was imprisoned during the Revolution, and the Saint-Chapelle church. Before you leave the island you will head towards the oldest bridge in Paris, the Pont Neuf. Cross over the bridge to the right bank and walk alongside the river past the Bouquinistes, or booksellers, and celebrate a tradition that dates back to the 15th century. The last stop is outside the magnificent Louvre Museum, where your guide will escort you through the Royal Courtyard and to the east end of the Historic Axis of Paris, next to the Tuileries Gardens, at the world famous Louvre Pyramid. If you decide to visit the Louvre, your guide will have insider tips on how to best enjoy the museum. Before you bid farewell, your guide will share history and tips for visiting the nearby Tuileries Gardens, Place de la Concorde, Champs Elysees, and Arc de Triomphe. You will not believe how much you have seen and experienced in just over 6 hours!

Monica L, went out of her way to be extraordinary in the experience she provided during the 6 hour tour. It started with a very humorous introduction around some of the paris landmarks, before providing a detailed but engaging overview on the architecture, history, and backdrop of the Eiffel tower. As a guide, she was generous with relevant and anecdotal commentary from insights ranging from early to modern paris, to providing guidance on where to get the best experiences and helping abundantly with where to get the best photos. This magical experience continued also on the boat ride down the Sien river where we were informed on the Paris landmarks and the historic significance behind them. I especially enjoyed new knowledge around the context of the french revolution. We had the best time ever and would recommend Monica to anyone who wants to have a fun and knowledge filled overview of Paris. Thanks for adding colour and glamour to our anniversary in Paris. David was full of knowledge and willing to talk about the history and buildings in my day tour. Thanks David for such a wonderful days experience from walking around the Eiffel Tower then cruising down the Seine identifying all the beautiful buildings followed by walking around the city. Even going out for lunch. Just the best.

We enjoyed the whole 6 hours of the tour. Basically most 5 hours because she gave us 1 hour lunch break on our own. She took us to the nice area close to Effle Tower to have an hour break We started with Effle Tower and she explained the history very well. The tour guide was very nice and kind. She always make sure everyone are doing well while she was explaining everything. I totally recommend this complete tour to any family.
