Covid-19 Update

Due to health and safety regulations, this itinerary may change. See Know before you go for the latest updates.

Meet your guide and then hear some amazing stories of Paris and the creator of the iconic tower to whet your appetite for your climb ahead. Your guide will secure tickets for the group then skip the long elevator lines (there may still be a queue for the stairs, especially in high season) and enter the tower to climb up 704 steps over 30 flights. Catch your breath at the provided rest stops and see a side of the Eiffel Tower you would miss if you ascended by elevator. Hear more about the young engineer Gustave Eiffel, including details of his life after the building opened. Upon arrival at the first level, take a well-earned break. Stand on the new glass floor, and experience the world of the tower via a multimedia interactive exhibit and short film, if time permits. Grab your "Follow Gus" booklet to enjoy some fun for the whole family, or enjoy a snack or rest before you continue on your way. En route to the second level, hear little-known fun facts about the tower's original color, twinkling lights, and individuals who made history with their daredevil stunts. Upon arrival at the second level, experience a unique sense of accomplishment, and take in the bird's eye views of all the sights surrounding you. Get a panoramic tour of Paris from above as your guide tells you about monuments and districts such as Montparnasse, Les Invalides, the Sacre-Coeur, Notre Dame, the Louvre Museum, the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Élysées. If you purchase the Summit Access option, you will purchase a ticket for the lift to the tower's summit and continue your adventure on your own. Once there, see Gustave Eiffel’s office, restored to its original condition along with panoramic maps. Go to the Champagne Bar and treat yourself to some bubbles in the sky. When you are ready, simply take the elevator back down to street level and continue with your day. Please note that there is often a wait to clear the security line, as this is unavoidable please arrive in due time. There can be a wait for the line to climb the stairs during the busy season. However, this wait will be far shorter than the wait for the elevators. Please note that the earliest morning option has the least waiting time. Please do expect to wait for later times. Wait time will vary. For the least amount of wait, please select the 8:45 AM or 9:15 AM option. In the event that the Summit is closed, you will be offered a tour and access to the second level. You will be refunded for the price difference between the two options.

Amber, our tour guide, was awesome. Unfortunately, it was very rainy and windy the day we went, yet we were easily able to convert our climb to use the elevator instead (for a reasonable upcharge). Amber pointed out the major sights outside and then smartly brought us inside to get hot cocoa to warm up. She then shared all of the stories behind the different buildings, which were interesting and memorable!

The Eiffel Tower experience was more enjoyable than expected. While the view and climbing experience was similar to what I expected, the efforts of our guide (Eric, Paris 1 guide company) was both thoughtful, encouraging and very friendly. Eric also has a natural ability to connect with a wide range of people. His easy and friendly manner was supportive of all the group. Eric also provided excellent general information and additional knowledge in relation to my stay in Paris. Overall a very professional guide Note. This review has been posted after returning home; and having used a number of different guide companies and having time to reflect on a number of services. This was the most professional of all services used

Our guide (Julia) was terrific. It was EXTREMELY cold the day that we toured the Eiffel Tower and Julia did a great job of taking our mind off of it with tons of interesting stories. The one downside is that although you can skip the security line outside of the park, you still have to wait a long time to go through the security gates to go up the stairs (hence the four stars rather than five). We purchased the summit access, but then realized it would be another 60 minute wait to go up to the summit. We decided to bail at that point rather than wait in another long line. The tower is still amazing without the summit!
