Covid-19 Update

Due to health and safety regulations, this itinerary may change. See Know before you go for the latest updates.

Skip the ticket line at the Louvre Museum at the end of the day to see masterpieces of art without the crowds. Follow a carefully designed route through the galleries to reach the Mona Lisa just as the museum is closing. Tested and perfected, your itinerary inverts the normal Louvre route, allowing you to see much more than other visitors who are on normal tours that try to fit the rest of the museum into 1.5 hours. Discover treasured landmarks, such as the historic foundations of the Kings’ Palace Moat. Marvel at ancient Greek and Roman sculptures, including the legendary Venus de Milo. Gaze in awe at Michelangelo’s Slaves and many other great works by French artists such as Delacroix and Géricault. Admire the crown jewels of the former French monarchy, the Winged Victory monument, and works from the Italian Renaissance by Caravaggio, Raphael, and Da Vinci. End in front of the Mona Lisa after the crowds have left to get a better appreciation of her enigmatic beauty.

We did the 6:45pm Louvre tour with Josephine. She was amazing! She mentioned at the end that Walks Tours, the company you are booking with, has professional and educated tour guides, and this couldn’t have been more true. We’ve been in Europe for 3 weeks and been to 3 countries and 6 cities. We’ve toured every major place in each of those and Josephine outdid all of them. She was knowledge and professional, but most importantly, she was funny! It can be hard at times to walk thru museums day after day, and to stay interested while there, but she made it impossible to not stay intrigued. I would definitely do this tour again. We got to Mona Lisa around 9:15 near the end of the tour and I didn’t wait more than 30 seconds to view it.

Great tour despite a bit crowded at Mona Lisa. The Louvre was busy as Versailles was closed on Tuesday. Our guide handled this situation very well. The line to see Mona Lisa was lengthy but it didn’t take too long to see her. It was a quick view understandably, a quick photo. The rest of the tour was comfortable and not rushed. Our guide was very knowledgeable and informative, with a lot of expression we thought she was excellent!!

Go team Adam!

Adam was our guide for the Louvre, and we couldn’t be more blessed. The Louvre was such a chaotic place and you wouldn’t appreciate everything if we wouldn’t have a guide. He is a historian by heart and more importantly, he used to work inside the Louvre. I have learned so many things just by listening to him, he is funny and there is no dull moment. He was quite strategic on our way around the Louvre and most importantly he made us appreciate the art and its history behind each and every one of them. Not everyone is blessed to have the opportunity to visit a place wherein all the cultures of the world and all of the most amazing arts in the world can be seen. We are fortunate and we thank Adam for giving us one of the best museum tours we had! I’m proud to have been a member of Team Adam!
