One of the most interesting and at times bizarre guided tours that I have ever been on. The tour is a melange of different things: a walk through the history of Paris during the last 300 years, the architectural styles of the monuments, the changing cultural norms of how we remember our dead, the events which happened in the cemetary itself, the famous people buried there, and stories of ordinary people who are interesting even though they are not famous. Also amazing to me was that you think a cemetary should be a sombre, grave place (if you pardon the pun), but many of the monuments are full of humour and levity. It's a fascinating place and a compelling tour.

A very nice visit of more than 3 hours with Jean François, a great guide, very pleasant and with a lot of humor who knows his subject perfectly with lots of anecdotes. We did not see the time pass.

The guide, Jean-Francois, was simply outstanding! I recommend without reservation!

Very good visit. The welcome, the guide was perfect. We had a great time

One of the most beautiful cultural excursion of my life
