On this full day trip from Kathmandu, explore the city of Bhaktapur and the village of Panauti. The tour begins with sightseeing at Panauti village, a historical Newari town which is around 32 kilometers southeast of Kathmandu on the confluence of the Rosi and Punyamati rivers. In Nepali society, such rivers are considered to be sacred. Panauti, once a major trading center with its own royal palace, today consists of a variety of Buddhist and Hindu religious monuments, and is considered to be one of the area's most important medieval sites. Panauti is one of the oldest towns in Nepal, with many temples dating back to the 15th Century or earlier. Visit the Indreshwar Temple, one of the largest and tallest pagoda style temples in Nepal dating back to 13 century. Next, visit Brahmayani Temple, another important monument constructed in the 17th century to honor Brahmayani, the goddess of the town. Stroll around the complex and admire the beauty of the historic architecture, and watch the locals paying respect to their idols. Finally, visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a museum of medieval art and architecture with many examples of sculptures, woodcarvings and colossal pagoda temples consecrated to different gods and goddesses. Witness a unique culture here, and admire some of the finest displays of craftsmanship. Bhaktapur is the only place in Nepal that has remained untouched by western culture. 

On the first day of the tour, be picked up by your guide at 10:30 AM and begin your exploration of Kathmandu valley. First visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Pashupatinath Temple. This temple is one of the most sacred locations in Hinduism, and is the oldest of its kind within Kathmandu, dating back to the 5th century. Visit Kathmandu Durbar Square in front of the old royal palaces, another World Heritage Site. This site is notable for being the cultural and historical hub of the valley. After exploring all of these landmarks, be returned to your hotel or residence to complete the first day of the tour. Start the second day with a pickup by your guide at 10:30 AM. Travel for one hour southeast to Panauti, one of the oldest towns in Nepal. Here there are many temples dating back to the 15th Century or earlier. Visit Brahmayani Temple as you cross the Rosi and Punyamati rivers. Continue then towards Indreshwor Temple and Unmatta Bhairav Temple. Observe the various idols of Hindu gods and goddesses and wood carvings within the temples. Travel onwards to Namobuddha where the site of the Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery is located. This is one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites in the world. It is known as the place where the Buddha, in a previous life, gave his body to a starving tigress and her cubs. Commemorating the famous story, there is a shrine and stone slab on the top of hill with great panoramic views of the Himalayas and surrounding villages. After exploring both towns, return to your hotel or residence.

Enjoy a night at Dulikhel hillstation. Dhulikhel is one of the more popular places from which to observe the high Himalayas. Admire stunning panoramas of peaks unfolding in front of your eye. You can also enjoy a side trip to the sacred stupa at Namobuddha, a 12km drive or three-hour walk south. Panauti is one of oldest towns in Nepal, with many temples dating back to the 15th Century or earlier. You can admire its many temples, stupas, and statues - plus the added charm of the green paddy fields in the area. You will also go to Namobuddha, with the old Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery - an important Buddhist pilgrimage site in Nepal. Stop at Bhaktapur Durbar Square, located 15 km from Kathmandu, which is a museum of medieval art and architecture with many examples of sculptures, woodcarvings, and colossal pagoda temples consecrated to different gods and goddesses.

Dhulikhel - Namo Buddha hike is one of the most popular hiking trails among foreigners and domestic tourist who wants enjoy and be close nature. For many Namobuddha Monastery is a sacred place where people practices Buddhism & meditation. Namo Buddha is only 40 km away from Kathmandu valley. It is the best for nature lovers. The entire hiking path goes through narrow trails surrounded by small hills. Usually, Everest or Annapurna trekkers prefer practicing in this trail as a warm up hike before starting for their actual hard trek. This hike starts early morning after breakfast with drive from Kathmandu to Dhulikhel. At 7:30 am guide will pick you up from your hotel. After approximately 2 hours drive your will reach Dhulikhel.
