  • Full-Day Pamukkale Tour from Kusadasi

    3. Full-Day Pamukkale Tour from Kusadasi

The rock formations of Pamukkale (literally, "Cotton Castle") are a series of white terraces saturated with dissolved calcium bicarbonate, bubbling up from the feet of the mountains beyond. As the water flows over the edge of the plateau and cools, carbon dioxide is given off and calcium carbonate precipitates as hard chalk, or travertine. The spring emerges in the middle of the ancient resort city of Hierapolis (the ruins themselves are worthy of a stop as well). Sadly, the travertine that makes up the Pamukkale is gradually turning from white to yellow, and is even thought to be drying up. Thirsty hotels are blamed by the government, which has demolished many of them. This is good for the Pamukkale, but it makes finding a hotel increasingly difficult. Most stay in Pamukkale Koyu. The Hierapolis archaeological site lies west of Pamukkale Koyu. Its main features include a temple of Apo...

It was one of my best trips during my stay in Turkey. The organization was excellent. I was picked up at the arranged time from my hotel. I was very lucky with professional guides John and Nizam, who were both friendly and helpful.

We were well pleased that we booked this taxi tour to fit in with the hours our cruise ship was in Kusadasi. Denis was an excellent tour guide and we appreciated all the information he was able to give to us as we drove to Pamukkale (Hierapolis) and also Laodicea. The hot springs are an amazing sight and the ruins of both Hierapolis and Laodicea are quite incredible. It was the highlight of our trip to Turkey! It was great to see something of the Turkish landscape other than what was close to the cruise ports. The van was very comfortable for our adult family of four and we appreciated the bottled water provided.

It was an amazing 2-day tour in two places. I enjoyed it a lot. I was taken cared of from picking me up from the airport to my hotel after the tour then back to the airport. It was pretty awesome and I felt comfortable as a solo traveler. The local tour guide, Alex was very informative and provided me with every single details of every places we visited. I was alone on the first day of the tour to Ephesus and the tour guide had given me ample time to enjoy every places we visited. I would surely recommend this tour to all the travelers with limited time but would like to see two places at the same time. If you take this tour, choose Alex as a tour guide! He is well-spoken, spoke English well and very informative knowledgeable. Highly recommend this tour

Unforgettable

Excellent guide, Muhmad made the trip worthwhile, I think the operator mistrusts when writing an email that the return was not included when it was, Pumakkele as a geological place is great, its valley is beautiful, how attraction for old people It is dangerous, floor with slippery seaweed and if you risk wearing a shoe that you want to wet because being barefoot is painful, Hieropolis is what is worth walking

We were picked up at the hotel on time. Very careful bus driver, the trip was great, no music the entire trip, very relaxing! A great private tour guide (we were the only two guests that day and still the tour was carried out very professionally) who spoke English very well and was able to answer all our questions. A very nice experience that we can definitely recommend.
