Puerto Princesa: Honda Bay Island Hopping & Optional Massage

1. Puerto Princesa: Honda Bay Island Hopping & Optional Massage

Experience the beauty of marine life in Puerto Princesa. Honda Bay is located on the eastern shore of Puerto Princesa and hosts a variety of tiny islands with resorts and beaches. It is also home to a wide variety of fishes, corals, and giant clams. Begin your 30-minute journey from the city to Barangay Sta. Lourdes, where the Honda Bay Wharf is located. Before boarding your boat, you will make a stop to rent your snorkel, aqua shoes, and swimming fins. Once on board, you will be taken to 3 different places each with its own unique attractions and characteristics. First is Luli Island. This sand bar got its name from the Filipino 'Lulubog at LIlitaw', which means to appear and disappear on water. The sand bar disappears when the tide is high and appears when the tide is low. It has powdery cream-colored sand and clear blue water, which is perfect for swimming and relaxing. There is a cocktail bar where you can sample the local mixes. There is a dive platform where you can take a jump into the water.  Next is Pambato Reef. This reef is a famous snorkeling site in Honda Bay. It has an average depth of 13 meters and covers an area as wide as 16 hectares. It has a thriving community of branch and ear corals and schools of fish including lapu-lapu (grouper), parrot fish, and spadefish. Finally, head to Cowrie Island where you will spend most of your day. Your buffet-style lunch will be served on this island. The clear blue waters and powdery sand are perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and sun bathing. There is a massage center where you can treat yourself to a relaxing massage. Your day will end at approximately 2:30 PM. You will head back to the wharf and your driver will meet you there to return you to your accommodation. If you want a relaxing end to the day, select one of the massage options. Hotel drop-off after the massage can be provided with an extra charge, which can be booked as an add-on upon checkout.

Coron: Island Hopping Tour with Swimming

6. Coron: Island Hopping Tour with Swimming

Spend a day on the most beautiful island in Coron. Malcapuya Island is renowned throughout the region as one of the most singularly beautiful Islands in the Archipelago. With its Crystal clear blue waters and powdery white sands, it is the heavenly idyllic beach where you can kick back and relax. Get to visit also Banana Island and Bulog Dos Island. Destinations: • Malcapuya IslandThe picture-perfect southern beach has shallow waters of varying shades of aquamarine, turquoise, and emerald. This beach is perfect for swimming, although the growth of seagrass several meters from the shore might deter swimmers from looking for a nice, perfectly clean beach. Beyond the seagrass and not 100 meters from the shore is an extensive bed of corals containing a wide variety of colorful marine life including giant clams and a few species of clownfish. A pity since the western portion of the beach contains tall karst or limestone rock formations that would have made for excellent photo opportunities. • Banana Island also known as Dicalabuan Island, is part of a group of three islands south of Busuanga. It is more excited about touring the island than taking a siesta. This beach isn’t as long and much of it was a mixture of small pebbles, corals, and sand. There is a curving stretch of fine, powdery, and blindingly white sand on the island’s northwestern corner, however, where a volleyball net had been set up. The water in front of the northern beach was clear but deeper. There’s a coral reef lying just off this beach. • Bulog Dos IslandBulog Dos is one of the many beautiful islands of the Calamianes. It is located close to the tip of Malaroyroy Peninsula at the northern end of Bulalacao, is an island located southwest of Coron Island and adjacent to Culion Island (Bulog Dos is closer to Culion than Coron). One can easily see Two Seasons from Bulog Dos but you cannot go any further beyond a hill overlooking the resort. Bulog Dos itself looks more beautiful with its short stretch of white sandy beach, crystal-clear aquamarine waters, and a long snaking sandbar that connects it to Malaroyroy Peninsula and the rest of Bulalacao. Another wonderful discovery made in Bulog Dos is the presence of colorful corals and a variety of other marine life several meters off the beach and just beyond the layer of seagrass close to shore. The fishes here are not shy and would even swarm around you.

Coron: Pass Island, Reef and Wrecks Private Tour

10. Coron: Pass Island, Reef and Wrecks Private Tour

Discover a historical WWII Japanese shipwreck that sunk and is now covered by the colorful corals, home of different fishes and sea fans. In a distance a large coral the garden lies that lives by different kinds of corals and thousands of fishes. Reef and Wrecks Tours is the best itinerary for snorkeling activities and diving experiences. • Pass Island Pass Island Coron is one of the whitest, sandiest & tropical islands. Imagine pure white silica, soft underfoot, and tall, green palm trees towering skywards and casting blissful shadows over the beach. Then imagine a cold beer in hand and refreshing, calm waters to swim in. • Lusong Gunboat This gunboat was strafed when cruising close to Concepcion village. Disabled by hundreds of machine-gun bullets she was caused to beach herself at the Southern tip of Lusong Island. The wreck is equally good for snorkeling and wreck photography and is often used for relaxation between main dives. The wreck has been salvaged and the entire top has gone. It is nicely covered with sponges and soft corals, many butterflyfish, angelfish, pufferfish, and batfish can be seen. There is also good snorkeling on the reef beside the wreck. • Lusong Coral Garden This is an absolutely amazing coral garden very close to the Lusong shipwreck spot. There are so many types of corals with breathtaking colors and shapes as far as your eye can see. • East TangatWreck East Tangat wreck sunk on the 24th of September 1944 that was believed to be either a tugboat or an anti-submarine craft. This happened during World War II. This shipwreck is 40 meters or 130 feet long and 500 gross tons. The wreck lies listing to starboard down a sandy slope with the stern at 22 meters or 72 feet. The top of the bow at 10 feet points at 320 degrees (compass bearing). This is because East Tangat Wreck has very good shallow water that is also enough to be enjoyed by the snorkelers. The site is also good for novices, underwater photographers, and writers. On the other hand, allocentric and adventurous divers could possibly not find the experience they are searching for at this dive site. These people prefer deeper water and sometimes strong currents. On the wreck, you can find a few corals, both soft and hard, and there are some large lettuce corals beside the East Tangat wreck. It has been home to many aquatic animals and a very good marine life. There you can see schools of small angelfish, butterflyfish specifically the Copper band butterflyfish, white sponges, and many more. Sea stars and crinoids are rarely seen. Location: Close to the southwest side of Tangat Island, Coron, Palawan, Philippines Main Attraction: Wreck diving, snorkeling Average depth: 10 meters or 33 feet Maximum depth: 22 meters or 72 feet Condition: Mild to strong currents
