Your driver will then take you to the Palais du Luxembourg, passing by iconic monuments such as the Pantheon. Paris and the Art of Music: 2-Hour Walking Tour

2. Paris and the Art of Music: 2-Hour Walking Tour

On this 2-hour guided walk you’ll visit Parisian sites linked historically to music, such as the 6th-century Benedictine Abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Paris's oldest church, where troubadours performed during the Middle Ages. You’ll also see Marie de Medici's Luxembourg Gardens and Palace, home to court music during the Renaissance, and the Carrefour de Buci, a colorful crossroads notorious for its cabarets between WWI and WWII. Admire the 18th-century picture-perfect Cour du Commerce Saint-André, a charming street arcade that’s home to Paris's oldest café – a meeting point for street musicians during the French Revolution. Learn about the religious music of the classical period in the huge 17th-century Baroque Saint-Sulpice Church, noted for its 7,000-pipe organ. It is one of only 3, 100-stop organs in the world. The church's most recent appearance was in a supporting role in The Da Vinci Code. Finish your walking tour in Furstenberg Square, one of the smallest, most romantic squares in Paris, and a favorite of both Edith Piaf and Maurice Chevalier.

Absolutely TOP !!!

We had a great tour with an excellent guide (Jean-?) - he was waiting at the hotel because the train was delayed and we were delayed from the center. Then it already started. A great lunch in a small restaurant off the beaten track. Then he showed us "his" Paris. The tour was very individual. He showed us the known places from the travel guides and a lot of "insider" places. Anyone who undertakes this trip with this guide has seen everything in Paris after six hours and is also very well informed about history. The only small negative point was that we had ordered the tour in German, but our guide "only" spoke French and English. It wasn't a problem for us, we had a good chat with him. He had fun and we even more !!! There were countless photo stops - it was just great and everyone who visits Paris should take such a tour, it is worth every penny!

What a fun ride....

What a fun ride! Our first look at Paris and often we were the sight to be seen in our cute little Citreon. A unique way to see this beatiful city of contrasts which saw us threading our way through the narrow lanes of the Latin Quarter and excitingly passing our way around the Arc de Triomphe! Well done Annushka.

The guide was very nice. We were the only participants, my sister and brother in law and myself. Ideal! She took us through a lovely quarter and shared her vast knowledge with us. Thank you

Thorough, knowledgeable and accommodating.

Christopher was very professional and knowledgeable and was a perfect way for my wife and I to spend our first day. 5 star!
