very interesting and slightly off the beaten path

Gilles was very nice and knowledgeable about the different art movements over the years. This tour provided an interesting perspective on Vienna. Gilles was also very conscious of taking account of our individual interests; e.g., "do you want to take a few minutes to go into this museum?" or "if you like we can go down this street; there's not a lot of art nouveau buildings per se but you can see the different architecture styles next to each other..."

In depth, broad ranging everything you want to know crammed into 3 hrs

Our guide Katerina was a delightful, intelligent and lively person whose introduction to Vienna was just what we needed. She was able to include politics, art, history, economics, military,religious and social history and the time flew by. So glad we booked this for our first morning in Vienna as it gave us the perfect orientation and set us off curious to learn more.

Great introduction to the city and its history

Experiencing the city during a walk gives you the best opportunity to get to know the inner city Guide is very knowledgeable on the city, its historic buildings and its past I got to know most of the past emperors and about their life We were a small group which allowed me to ask any further details I liked

Great Depth of Knowledge and sense of Humor

Illse led an informative and engaging tour. An excellent reflection of the life and works of Austrian architect Otto Wagner and other stunning Art Nouveau buildings. Illse was well informed on other topics as well giving us a better insight into Viennese lifestyle and culture. Thank you Illse.
