Full description
Follow in the footsteps of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger and other characters from the Harry Potter movies. J.K. Rowling applied to study at Oxford university and so she was familiar with Oxford. Thus, when they were producing the films, Rowling walked the producers around Oxford, pointing out various sights which they could use, such as the statue that looks like 'Nearly Headless Nick', and Turf Tavern Lane, which looks like Knockturn Alley. This tour will enter one Harry Potter film site called the Divinity School, located at the Bodleian library, which is where they filmed the infirmary and dance scenes. Although the other film sites and the colleges of the university are currently closed, this tour showcases where the Harry Potter movies were filmed in Oxford. You will be passing the city's famous sights and colleges from the outside. You will also be provided with lots of insights about the actors, the producers and about JK Rowling's inspirations. As you walk around, you will take part in a Harry Potter quiz to test your knowledge of the books and films. The guide will also describe how student life in Oxford compares with Hogwarts.

Booked the Harry Potter tour. Our guide was Peter who was brilliant. The knowledge he shared of Oxford’s history was perfectly pitched for all age groups. His tour linked the history of Oxford, together with the inspirations of JK Rowling and other authors. It was really very fascinating and appealed to all age groups. Reignited the HP fever for sure. Huge thumbs up and big, big thank you to Peter.

Our tour guide Peter was amazing! Not only did he tell us about Harry Potter, but he also knew a lot about the history of Oxford and other popular novels and films. It was lovely exploring the city in more depth with him. He even gave the adults HP costumes so we could really enjoy the experience and take great pictures. I would highly recommend a tour with him if you are in Oxford

If you love Harry Potter or Chronicles of Narnia or super interesting local history in general or this is for you. The tour guide, Peter, was awesome! He went above and beyond! We had such a blast during the tour. He made it fun for everyone (young kids or older adults). He is a walking encyclopedia of knowledge, tidbits and trivia. Would love to go on a pub trivia night with him. He knows the city like the back of his hand and the tour is made even better by this. Now as for Oxford, the city, the university, the history and the culture… the vibe is so chill… I love it- would certainly be back. Peter also offers other tours of the city, would definitely take him up on his offer the next time we’re back in Oxford. P.S. Oxford is B.O.B. right Peter?
