What people are saying about Ollantaytambo Train Station

Overall rating

4.3 / 5

based on 148 reviews

The trip at first may seem very expensive, but it is really well organized from the start to the finish. The only thing to remember is to always listen to your guide who meets with you at the train station in Aguas Caliente. A driver collects you near the Plaza de Armas and takes you by bus to Ollayantambo. From there you take the train through the sacred valley, which offers you a beautiful landscape. After that the guide takes you up the mountain with the bus where the tour starts. The view up on the old city is truly breathtaking and worth every step. After the tour you can hike down (1.5h) or ride with the bus back to Aguas Caliente. Back to Cusco it is the other way round. Overall an awesome trip.

We had booked the train trip from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu and back at short notice, ie 3 days in advance, via Get your Guide. The tickets arrived punctually by e-mail 1 day before the booked trip. I would definitely plan all my activities with Get your Guide again on another trip. They are simply unbeatable, everything is super organized.

In Machu Picchu we had an exceptional guide named Joel. The place is incredible, however it is a very long trip to get there from Cusco and for those of us who do not know we were surprised.

Train tickets, excellent entrance to the mountain, excellent mountain guide, excellent meals in Aguascalientes, the established schedules were met, excellent. Greetings thank you

Amazing experience! Well worth the money and time!
