What people are saying about Ollantaytambo

We really enjoyed this tour both because of the guide and our group. We were a small group - 7 people total - and the guide picked us up at our hotel in the morning. We traveled to each site in a small air-conditioned van. Our first stop was in Pisac where we visited ruins and a silver jewelry shop where we learned about the jewelry-making process and how to identify real vs fake silver. Next we visited Moray and the Salt Mines. There is about an hour's drive in between each stop. Our guide provided so much detail about the history of each place that we visited and we learned so much about the Incans and their advanced agricultural processes. After visiting these stops, we went to a restaurant for a delicious buffet that was included in the tour. Lastly, we ended the tour in Ollantaytambo where you could catch the train to Machu Picchu or take the van back to Cusco. Dress in layers because the temp changes a lot throughout the tour. We loved our guide and had a great time!

Elvis is the BEST! Willka Travel handled the booking & immediately sent me confirmation via WhatsApp of all pickup details. PROS: Lots of sites for a good price, Elvis was an awesome knowledgeable host who spoke good English and managed our schedule, early arrival to most sites. We got to Pisaq first and had the entire place to ourselves until we left. We had plenty of time to explore all sites and Elvis made sure to stop at great spots to take pictures. CONS: Food was ok, spent a little too much time at the 2 souvenir places. Now what you need to know - if you get car sick easily, be sure to prepare because some of the roads are very winding with sharp turns. Have good sunscreen for Salt Mines and maybe purchase your Boleta Touristo in advance for the 4 sites, even though you can pay on site. I would definitely recommend this tour AFTER you have had time to acclimate.

This trip was amazing!!! We hit so many great spots. Our tour guide Elvis was the best. We had such a good day. Don’t miss this tour it is so worth it!

Everything was great, they picked me up right on time. We were earlier than other tours so that helped avoiding long lines. Totally worth it!

The tour was super organized, we were in few people, which was great. Super well organized, and lunch was in a great place.
