Full description
Explore the diverse wetlands of the well-developed natural, artificial, permanent, and temporary delta rivers and reservoirs of the Nizhnednestrovsky National Nature Park in the Dniester Delta.
Following your morning meeting in central Odessa, transfer to the Nature Park at Mayaki. Here, you will take a boat through the Dniester River channels, via the White Lake and Amason Channel to an isolated island. Conducted in an environmentally sustainable way, explore the shelter and living space for more than 1,500 species of fauna and flora..
After a picnic of fish soup, vegetable salads, fish, potato, and other local snacks with wine, enjoy some free time to fish, sunbathe, or birdwatch on the island. The park is ecologically significant for nesting and wintering birds migrating between Eurasia and Africa. Of 254 bird species found here, 58 are listed in the Red Book of Ukraine, and 11 species are in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species
Then, travel back to Mayaki along the Turunchuk River for your transfer back to Odessa by mid afternoon.
