Full description
The trip to Transnistria starts with the transfer from your hotel in Odessa to Tiraspol by a private vehicle. The distance from Odessa to Tiraspol is 104 kilometers and, halfway there, you will pass the border between Ukraine and Transnistria. (Please, check the VISA requirements to enter Transinstria before the trip).  Visiting Transnistria is like traveling on a time machine – not much has changed there since the end of the 20th century. The cities of Bender and Tiraspol, retain many remnants of the Soviet Union. Old-fashioned public transport, numerous monuments to Lenin and Soviet symbolism on the buildings all make a trip to Transnistria a different experience. Your local guide will tell you about the current political situation of the country and show you all the most important attractions of Tiraspol. Then you will travel to the city of Bender and discover its famous sight, Festung Tighina, built in the 16th century. Medieval Bender Fortress played an important role in the Russian-Turkish War in the 18-19th centuries. You will enjoy a spectacular view of the Dniester River from the high fortress’s walls.  Later, in your free time, you may have lunch at one of the city’s cafés (optional, own expense). Thereafter, you will return to Odessa back to your hotel.

... just came back from the trip. . Perfect organization - thanks for supporting despite of difficult situation with CoronaVirus ... (March 2020) Everything was more than expected. We are really inspired about the chain of supporting people. ...Olga from who organized everything, our driver Żenia from Odessa, local driver in Nadniestrze (Tiaspol citizen who had to wake up at 4.30 a.m to wait for us in Odessa morning), Katia (perfect Tiraspol introduction and visiting + nice English) and finally Adriej who takes us from Nadniestrze border and show us Bendery City... very professional and helpful guy - what's more his English was perfect and his knowledge about history and current situation is on professional level ++++ ... Even if Nadniestrze seems be crazy place for majority people (personally we like it very much but we understand that not everybody can like this) again many thanx for perfect organization, support and finding solution for all cases

A Terrible Rxperience

My driver spoke no English whatsoever but he was a nice person and I did give him a good tip for his efforts. The guide however Transnistria was the worst I have ever had. He insisted that mine was a ‘Soviet Era’ tour. He would only show me war memorial sites and busts of war hero’s. When I saw an old 15 Century Fort he would not let me go there or take photos because he said ‘I was on a Soviet Era’ tour - not a ‘Classic Tour’. I was only allowed to see Soviet memorials of which he was very proud. It was only him and myself! I was only there to take photos. I was not interested in propaganda. After 20 minutes of nonsense I told him I was very disappointed and then finished the tour with him and found the driver and came back to Odessa. There was no misunderstanding. He would not allow me to go near anything that was not related to Soviet monuments etc.
