The Monastery of the Dominicans of Batalha was built to commemorate the victory of the Portuguese over the Castilians at the battle of Aljubarrota in 1385. It was to be the Portuguese monarchy's main building project for the next two centuries.

Outlined by its masterpiece "the Royal Cloister", this UNESCO World Heritage property is a sight to behold. Afterwards, you will progress to Nazaré. Here you will discover a coastline village most famous for its fishing traditions, and with the help of a recent influx of trendy surfers, this place has become a blend of travelers and locals. Whilst here you will also discover the famous "Canyon", where the biggest wave ever was surfed.
