Paulo was very knowledgeable about the basics of surfing and he made it EXTREMELY easy and VERY enjoyable!! I still can’t believe I stood up on a surf board for the first time and caught a wave in Hawaii! My friend and I did the 1 hour, 2-person surfing lesson. It was nice that we didn’t have to share our lesson time with strangers. The hardest part was paddling out, so I highly recommend just doing 1 hour if you’re a beginner, as I was exhausted by the end of it! Outstanding lessons! Thank you Paulo!!!

Instructor was good. Had our first timer 14 and 13 year olds up on the board a minute after finding their spot. Our kids said he was nice. I believe his name was Palo. Would have been nice if the instructor took some pictures but we also did not offer a phone in a waterproof bag.

Definitely pick this activity. I spent a lot of time trying to find a good surfing lesson while we were in Hawaii. This one was totally worth it. The 1:2 ratio of instructor to surfers was great. We both got equal time with him and he was encouraging and told us how to fix our mistakes. We started off on the beach then practiced what we just learned as he held the board in gif water then off to catch a wave. I was able to stand up every time (fell quick a few times) but it was so cool. I left the lesson with a huge smile on my face for the rest of the day! Oh and if you bring stuff other than clothes or a towel he will take yours and his stuff across the street to put in a storage locker.
