This was a very cool experience. Our guide was great. The parking lot and meeting location is easy to find, though there are no bathrooms at the meeting location, just an FYI. When you arrive they will get you suited up in all the gear. You must wear sturdy shoes or you will have to rent them for a small fee. Hiking boots are recommended, sneakers will not be sturdy enough for the crampons. After you get suited up, the glacier is about a quarter mile walk from the meeting location. The view of the glacier is phenomenal. You then make your way onto the glacier. Our guide led the way. We went at a good pace and spent about an hour or so on the glacier. We got to drink the glacier water and there was plenty of time for pictures. I would highly recommend this glacier hike, you won't regret it!

It was a beautiful day regardless of the rainy weather and the clouds reaching almost to the ground at times. Wonderful atmosphere accompanied by wonderful Icelandic nature and a perfect guide man number one. Unforgettable memories for a lifetime. Thank you so much. Jaroslav Bastar, Czech Republic.
