What people are saying about North West England

We booked on line the morning we decided to go ( it was a beautiful day), parked in Broughton Park and Ride, getting off by The Barrs. The river is well signed from the Main Street, and you can walk down there - we walked through Grosvenor Park, but if you head for the clock tower you can climb up to the walls from there and have a really nice walk past some Roman remains down to the river. We headed for the boat ( Mark Twain in our case), showed the person in the cabin our booking on the phone, and climbed upstairs. I would recommend going upstairs if you can because you have a really good view of the gardens and buildings on the river bank.. A commentary runs with interesting facts about the buildings - a fascinating insight. After 15 minutes we turned round and headed back. It was just a very pleasant half hour on a lovely afternoon. And then an ice cream - try Sugbury’s , a local firm and absolutely delicious!!

I took my 86 year mum on the afternoon tea cruise, from start to finish the crew did so much to help her enjoy her day, we were able to leave her wheelchair at the office and thee crew helped her on board. The food was exceptional and there was plenty to eat, all neatly presented. The cruise was very scenic and totally relaxing. When we returned back to the quay, heer wheelchair was waiting for her and again the crew were exceptional and very caring, it was the best experience we've had from start to finish and will recommend it to everyone.

Fantastic afternoon. The staff could not have been more pleasant or helpful. The food was excellent - tasty and very enjoyable.

The guys on the boat were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. And of course the food was delicious!

was a great trip and was so good to see the city from that view
