What people are saying about Norte Region

We were picked up promptly at our hotel in Porto by Pedro. My sister in law and I were the only people on the tour. Pedro was well educated and during the drive we talked flora, fauna, and politics! Pedro asked us what we were interested in and I stated I was most interested in the Iberian wolf and being out in nature. Due to this interest and evaluation of our degree of fitness, he decided going to a shepherd corral was a good choice. We had an incredible hike up into the mountains to a remote bog and shepherds hit. . The hike was steep and a bit rocky, but we were in capable hands. The views were amazing. We saw wolf tracks and scat! Then a lovely local lunch with wine and more food then we could eat—bean stew, steak, bread and cheese and cod fritters. We then drove around the park a bit, seeing waterfalls and milestones. The end was great—a soak in a hot springs in Spain with a full moon, Jupiter and Venus on the horizon. This trip is highly recommended.
