Witsnuitdolfijnen, bultruggen en bruinvissen zijn slechts enkele van de zoogdieren die je tijdens de wintermaanden waarschijnlijk in de IJslandse wateren ziet ronddartelen. En met deze walvistour onder leiding van een expert in Reykjavík leer je waarschijnlijk ook het een en ander over deze ongelooflijke wezens.

Je walvistocht vertrekt vanuit de haven van Reykjavík, in het hart van de stad. Van hieruit vaar je de zee op, op weg naar Faxaflói Bay.

Terwijl je door het water glijdt, vertellen je deskundige kapitein en gids je wat meer over de walvissen en vogels die in dit gebied voorkomen. Met een beetje geluk zie je IJslandse walvissen, dolfijnen en bruinvissen in hun natuurlijke habitat. Je zult een paar uur op zee doorbrengen, wat je een goede kans geeft op een onvergetelijke ontmoeting met dieren.

Picked up by bus, taken to the boat. Given either long coats or overalls which were water and wind proof. Skipper took out and we saw humpback whales. A wonderful experience. We'll work the money.

When we boarded there was a general scrimmage to find and get into the waterproof suits, with no member of staff to assist. This needs to be made more orderly. I enjoyed being able to stay inside and had great views. My husband enjoyed being able to be outside the whole time to photograph.
