De tour begint met Buckingham Palace en de wereldberoemde wisseling van de wacht. De wisseling van de wacht begint stipt om 10.45 uur op het voorplein van Buckingham Palace. Hierna volgt een mars van een detachement van de Oude Garde, met muzikale ondersteuning, van St. James's Palace en de Nieuwe Garde onder leiding van een Regimental Band van Wellington Barracks. De ceremonie van de wisseling van de wacht duurt ongeveer 45 minuten.

Na de wisseling van de wacht leidt de gids je door de Westminster Area om een aantal werkelijk verbazingwekkende bezienswaardigheden te zien.
