Full description

Get ready to explore some of France’s most scenic landscapes on a trip to Castellane, Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, and the gorges of the Verdon. Be picked up from your hotel or home address in Nice. Depart with your driver to the hills of your countryside destination.

Cross the "gorge of the wolf", complete with its 40-meter-high waterfall, before stopping at Castellane. Whilst traveling along the Verdon (named for its astonishing turquoise green color), enjoy spectacular views of the 700-meter-deep canyon.

Afterward, move on to the village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, nestled under a rocky cliff and surrounded by mountains from all sides. Known for its rich history in ceramic craftsmanship, you will have free time here to explore Moustiers at your leisure.

Discover the earthenware in the stores, and buy souvenirs before lunch in one of the terrace cafes. Photograph the world-famous lavender platters, or enjoy the lake of St. Croix, an artificial treasure of clear water which is one of the most beautiful lakes of Provence.

After enjoying your trip, return to your vehicle at which point you will be driven back to your point of origin in Nice.

I couldn’t recommend this tour enough! ABDEL was an amazing tour guide, he stopped in so many picturesque places and even helped lone travellers with their pictures! The times at each location perfect. The car has aircon and Abel provided water. He even gave the option at the end to stay in Sainte Marie or go down to the Verdon after being in village for an hour (perfect to grab lunch!) each person would then decide what they’d prefer and the group splits and meets at the end. *please note: 1) (at no fault of the tour guides of course! And is the wonders of Nature!) that the ride to the locations is mountain roads and they are not great for people who suffer from motion sickness - rest assured Abdel said he would stop at any moment if needed! There’s turns left and right continuously so please be mindful of that I suppose. Everyone in my group was okay though and we got to the locations is good times. 2) Lavender Fields - don’t bloom until July. Still beautiful regardless!

Qiu ,our tour leader did a very good job to please us by taking us to places that we would like to see and stop for photo shoot. He also gave us enough time to walk around by ourselves. Overall it was a pleasant trip with him and the view was superb. 5 stars to him.

Our tour guide Abdel was very knowledgeable and gave us a great tour! We highly recommend him as he cared very much about making our experience the best! He asked us how we would like to split our time and allowed us to take many photos at photo stops along the way. He was extremely accommodating and made our trip amazing. We highly recommend this tour even though the lavender fields were not in bloom we still were able to see the plants and smell the lavender! Abdel was great and we hope to do another tour soon!
